Intermediate Fan Veil & Drum Solo Show Choreography 10-weeks Show Choreography: You will learn a fan veil and drum solo choreography over 10-weeks to perform in the Edmonton Belly Dance Show on Sunday November 30 Class Date: Mondays Sept. 15, 22, 29 Oct. 6, 20 & 27 (No class Oct. 13 for Thanksgiving) Nov. 3, 10, 17, 24 Belly Dance Show: Sunday Nov. 30 Class Time: 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm Location: Dynamyx Gymnastics Club 110 – 175 Carleton Drive St. Albert, Alberta T8N 7X9 Experience level: If you have taken a few beginner classes (2-3) or other intermediate belly dance classes, this intermediate show choreography class is for you. All welcome. Ages 14+ Learning a flowing fan veil choreography and syncopated drum solo will give you some of the best of belly dance all in 10-weeks. You will solidify your belly dance technique and performance. Extra practice at home is encouraged. What to wear to class: Wear comfortable exercise clothes. You do not need to show your belly. Traditionally belly dance is done barefoot but you can wear socks, a ballet slipper or soft jazz shoes if you prefer. What to wear to the show: I would like us to agree on a colour scheme or ideally even the same skirts to wear so that we have a professional look on stage. Students must cover the cost of their costume and ticket (usually $15) to participate and attend the show. The show consists of other belly dancers, beginner, intermediate, semi-professional, instructors and their families and friends watching. It's an exhilarating experience to dance on stage. Prop: Fan veils are required for this class. You can borrow Belly Dance Beats until we decide what colour to use for the show. Students will have to purchase the show fan veils themselves. Payment: I am a small business so if possible I greatly appreciate if you can pay via etransfer or cash. I completely understand that paying for the class entirely upfront can be financially too much.
