Beginner Shaabi Belly Dance Choreography Dates: NOT consecutive Monday March 31 April 7, 14 and 28 IMPORTANT: No class on April 21 for Easter Weekend Time 6:15 pm - 7:15 pm Location: Eye Candy Company, 15 Circle Dr Unit 119, St. Albert, AB T8N 3Y7 Come learn a Beginner Shaabi Belly Dance Choreography for fun and exercise! No experience required. The Egyptian Shaabi style of belly dance is playful, energetic, bouncy, and flirtatious. Belly dance is a great low-impact workout that benefits cardio, muscle strength, posture, flexibility and executive functioning. Experience Level: This class is for individuals ages 15+ with no belly dance experience or who have only taken one or two beginner classes. Course Description: During each 1-hour class you will learn different moves and techniques of Egyptian belly dance and how they flow together in a choreography. Learning a choreography allows you to see how the moves flow into the next and also gives you a wonderful feeling of accomplishment. You do not need to memorize the choreography. Each week you follow me. There is NO dance recital. This 4-week session is designed for you to have fun learning this ancient art form and to get some low-impact exercise. What to wear: Comfortable exercise clothes. You do not need to show your belly. Traditionally belly dance is done barefoot but you can wear socks, a ballet slipper, soft jazz shoes or purchase some of the Belly Dance Footies I have for sale on my website in beige or black.
