(Sunday) Beginner Belly Basics *Women Only. This class is women only, however our Beginner Belly Dance on Monday evening at 6:15pm is open to all. 8 weeks - NOT consecutive Jan. 18, 25, Feb. 1, 8, and 22 (NO CLASS on Feb, 15 for Family Day Long Weekend) Mar. 1, 8, 15 Class Time: 6:15 pm - 7:15 pm Location: DanceCo. Ltd, 9030 McKenney Ave, St. Albert, T8N 2T7 Looking for a low-impact workout that benefits cardio, muscle strength, posture, flexibility, memory and executive functioning? Experience Level: No experience required. This class is for individuals ages 14+ with no belly dance experience or who have only taken one class, (perhaps even this class last term) but it is important to have a solid understanding of belly dance moves and technique before advancing onto our intermediate classes. Class Description: During each 1-hour class you will learn different moves and techniques of Belly Dance. Laura will teach you mini combinations using the moves you learn. You will also be introduced to different belly dance outfits and props, including veil, cane and fan veil. There is no memorization of choreography and no dance recital. Just come have fun learning this ancient art form and getting some low-impact exercise. What to wear: Comfortable exercise clothes. You do not need to show your belly. Traditionally belly dance is done barefoot but you can wear socks, a ballet slipper or soft jazz shoes if you prefer. Payment: I am a small business so if possible I greatly appreciate if you can pay via etransfer or cash. I am happy to setup a payment schedule with you if you need, like 3 payments of $68.25 Instructor Illness: Please pencil in Sun.
